I absolutely love chillin @ the Natural Salon w/ my cuz and my girls its soo much the same and different from a traditional salon no strong chemical smells, babies crying, and never ending gossip with back that thing up blaring on the radio. Instead we get the loving smells of natural essential oils, honest intelligent conversation, debates political and social, neosoul/jazz/africanbeats mealding together and soothing the ears...awww I love my natural spot lol.

SC I said this earlier we need to watch who we elect and appoint to public office. You mean to tell me this man is an Assistant Atty General and had stripper money but no hotel $ Seriously. I know I know some of the extra freaky will say what's the big deal its a cemetery but here is the big deal that is a misdemeanor crime to have your genitalia exposed in a public place and yes a cemetery is still public even if most of the population there is dead just sayin. Also sodomy is STILL illegal in SC no they have not taken that of the books yet...even though supposedly "everyone does it" its still a prosecutable crime. I am just not really understanding how do these "educated" and "professional" officials not understand basic tact, quoth, and social norms; it boggles the mind I swear I hate to see what else our wonderful home state will bestow upon us.... COLUMBIA -- A former South Carolina legislator has been fired from the Attorney Generals office in response to a Columbia police report alleging he was discovered Monday with a stripper in a downtown cemetery.
The report released Wednesday states that 66-year-old Roland Corning was stopped Monday after his car was spotted parked in the Elmwood Cemetary near downtown Columbia. Police claim the area is known for sex and drug activity. Corning is a former state legislator who served in the 1990s and had served in the Attorney General's office since 2000.
According the the report, an 18-year-old woman who works at the Platinum Plus strip club was inside the vehicle with Corning along with Viagra and sex toys. Corning told the officer the items were there "just in case," according to the report.
Corning identified himself as a prosecutor and showed his badge issued by the Attorney General's office. He was not arrested. A spokesman for Attorney General Henry McMaster said Wednesday that Corning no longer worked there and was fired almost immediately once the office learned of the incident.
Corning has surrendered his keys and badge and no longer has access to the office, said communications director Mark Plowden via phone.
Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter defended the officer's actions during an afternoon press conference. The police report states that as soon as the officer arrived the vehicle Corning was in attempted to leave the cemetary at a high rate of speed. Officer Michael D. Wines called other officers to help find the vehicle and it was located and stopped a few blocks from the cemetary on Wayne Street. No citations were issued.
WACH Fox News attempted to contact Corning. There was no answer at his listed phone number.

A former state lawmaker has lost his job with the state attorney general's office... after a scandalous accusation he was having sex in a cemetery.
According to Columbia police... an officer stopped 66 -year old "Roland Corning" Monday afternoon after his car was spotted at Elmwood Cemetery in an area police say is known for sex.
And--- as if that's not enough--- how police handled the case has some people asking questions.
"If he was engaged in any illegal activity he would have been arrested," says Chief Tandy Carter.
Columbia Police Chief Tandy Carter, defending his officer's actions after police say they found a former attorney general prosecutor with an 18-year old stripper at Columbia's Elmwood Cemetery.
According to an incident report...an officer spotted 66-year old Roland Corning and a Platinum Plus employee in a secluded area of the cemetery Monday afternoon.The report says...Corning tried to speed away when cops approached him...an officer tracked him down several blocks away.
"The officer searched the vehicle, didn't find anything of a criminal nature, or anything illegal and after that was over he was released," says Carter.
What the officer did find might interest you...the report says Corning had Viagra and several sex toys in the car...when officers asked why...Corning reportedly said quote "just in case."
The report says corning flashed his attorney general's badge...he was released and never ticketed...however he was fired just hours after Henry McMaster's office learned of the incident.
"Well that inappropriate behavior and it was appropriate that he no longer be an employee of the office," says McMaster.
"There’s absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about what we did, what that officer did was textbook perfect," says Carter.
Dash-cam video of what happened after the so-called cemetery sexscapade has not been released yet...but Columbia police say it will show officers properly handled the situation.Corning was a state representative in the 1990's.
He had worked in the state attorney general's office since 2000... First for Charlie Condon…then Henry McMaster.

My Messy Divorce from Mainstream Hip Hop --> Updated

Okay coming to work in the car this morning something struck me.... I gues an epiphany of sorts it the problem with mainstream hip hop and why I have fallen out of love with it. We talk about the music represents what is happening in the streets, really are you serious!!! This is been the same mediocre argument of rappers for the last 15 years come lets try something else. In actuality the mainstream music has become a sort of enabler or a scape goat of being triffling yeah I said it triffling!! The music sends the message to our youth that it is ok to participate in illegal activities for profit at the expense of the community, its okay for young ladies to exploit their bodies and be dangeroulsy promiscuious, and the only thing important in life is houses you can't pay for, gold platinum chains and mouths full of hideously overdone jewels; "artists" and I use that term loosely get it together obviously your messages are not working. Really I thought when something is not working change it please mainstream take that advice change up your message... and don't look at is as ohhhh I will stop selling records I will no longer be popular if the majority changes the outcome changes.... that simple!

In closing my breakup letter with mainstream hip-hop:

Dear Mainstream Hip Hop;

It seems that our relationship has fully run its course. You have disfranchised, disenchanted, and on several occasions have brought me to the point of utter disgust. You have lied to me, made me see things that aren't valid, aren't prosperous, and downright scary! I hope you find your true self soon and don't worry its not you its me. I've grown and I have to move on to my new love the underground conscious artists because in the end the change will come with them. And as you say don't buy my records and don't download my rings tones don't worry I don't haven't in years but u have been reduced to dj's mix tapes that are free that I use to do my cardio workout to *smh* sad shame 25 years of history has been reduced in important to 15mins of a cardio workout...oh well. I like that chica. Well, you know me. I have never really been into Hip Hop. I enjoy true oldies like Sam Cooke, Etta James, Temptations, true soulful singers with a message. I too, am thoroughly disgusted with sodomization on the Hip Hop world. I, in no way, hold the rappers responsible for the actions of the youth nowadays because I feel that burden should lie with their parental figures. However, I would like the current teller of lies, "artists," to define the word art and self evaluate their supercilious, parsimonious, crap they now call Hip Hop. I am utterly disappointed with music today as it is not only Hip Hop that pollutes the world with unreservedly, degrading, comments about their very own cultural ethnic backgrounds and opposite sex. In order for a change to come, all must agree to take a stand and remain there until the desired change takes place.

This small little world I live in you understand that the energy you give out is exactly what you will get back this means if you sow negative you reap negative simple as that. Anti-Columbus Day

Why do we celebrate this holiday of a man who's criminal and cruel history was rival and duplicated by the likes of Hitler. People we need to realize that this man came into a country that wasn't his and stole its identity and resources for his own gain. He tried to kill off its indigenious peoples and currupt this lands resources. Then he was the main person setting the stage for the past and current human situation known as slavery. He raped women killed children and was certifiably insane!! WHY! Do we celebrat this man.

We should take this day to honor the indigenous peoples of this land that we find ourselves in as our home. We should celebrate the native peoples triumphs, heartaches, and mourn their tragedies not celebrate the man that brought these circumstances to their shores. We should remember also that this man made the way for slavery and paved the path through the waters to what is now our home not by our choosing but by our ancestors part in a pre-determined plan of hatred, destitution, hard-labor, and robbery. Lets please as a people just think about what this man has done to shape our country and not in a positive way, but in a way that still haunts us even today.

Really?!? That means he need not be in public office!! At all. It does not matter who you are or (think u are) you never never over speak someone when they are speaking especially the president... You just made him look that much better and set yourself up to loose in next years election *great work* by the way....lol you have successfully insured the landslide victory of your Democratic opponent because of your lack of tack.

A Great Workout by Fiya Starter Pole Dance 411 Atlanta

Hey ladies! Here are some awesome cross training exercises! Use them to tone or get stronger for the pole!

 Original Workout Regime byFiyaStarta

Purchase a pair of 10 pound leg weights and a jump rope!

Arms and abs: Hold weights in hand while holding coxic balance position. (This position is when you sit on the floor chest up and pull your knees into your chest while balancing on your bottom) Use weights to do 40 bicep curls. Take a break and repeat.

Abs: Lie on floor, face up with toes aimed to the sky. Wear leg weights on ankles. Count to 10 lowering legs toward floor as low as you feel comfortable (without touching floor and without arching back) hold for 10 seconds then use 10 seconds to return to start position. Repeat 10 times

Butt and Thighs: Lie on side. With leg weights around ankle lift top leg 45 degrees in the air and make large circles keeping leg long and straight. Do 15 forward and 15 back. Switch sides! Repeat 3 times!

Back: No more back rolls! Lie on stomach with weights around ankles. Lift arms and legs off ground be sure their straight. And swim like there's no tomorrow. Try this for 1 minute then repeat! After all get up, remove leg weights and jump rope on and off for 15 minutes!

Update on Home Made Laundry Detergent

Hello world!!! A few weeks ago I posted the pic and recipe for making your own laundry detergent well it works great!!! The only thing I think you miss is the scent of the detergent your clothes come out with no scent like with Gain, Tide, or Purex; the clothes just come out smelling clean and also it doesn't leave your clothes feeling stiff. Making your Own Laundry Detregent

Hey People....I finally did it I made my own laundry detergent and it wasn't nearly as much work as I thought it would be... I am going to do laundry this week and I will update you on how well it worked.. without Further a do here is the recipe

1 Bar of Laundry Soap (fels-naptha, octagon, or zeto)

9 cups of water

1 cup  Arm and Hammer washing soda (not baking soda it does make a difference)

1 cup Borax

Optional (essential oils:mint, lavender, jazmine, etc.)

Stock Pot (one you don't cook in)

Cheese Shredder (one you don't use with food)

First things first start your stock pot with 9cups of water until it gets to a slow boil, while this is going on shred your laundry soap. Once the water has come to a boil stir in your shredded bar of soap. This actually takes about 15 mins to melt on medium heat, while the soap is melting measure out your dry ingredients 1 cup of super washing soda, 1 cup of borax set these aside until ready to use. Next when the soap is melted ad the borax and washing soda these melt very quickly so have your four cups of hot water ready to put in the bottom of your container. Finally once the hot water is in the bottom of your container and your soap mixture is completely melted pour your soap mixiture into your container stir a little to make sure everything mixes together, then let sit mine turned into a a semi solid yellow gellatin ( it depends on your soap I uses fels-naptha).  Let sit for about an hour to cool down and set up (if it seperates at the bottom a little this is okay). Once that is done it is ready to use.

Below is the video that kinda gave me the right direction for making my liquid laudry soap. My recipe is slightly different from the woman in the video but this is not exact science, lol. I hope this works well for you all. Tell me how it works. The second video shows the consistancy of the detergent after it has set over night.

Okay people here we go this is the first entry to Creative Spending aka cheap, thrifty, spendthrift!!!! As I find info I will be sharing with you my fam and friends don't be shy tell me what you think and leave comments or questions that I will be more than happy to address or answer them. Now here we go...

All Purpose Disenfecting Lemon Cleaner

What you need:

• Pint spray bottle (carried at most Dollar Tree or your local dollar store)


• 1 teas. Borax (you can find this at any grocery store on the laundry ailse)


• 1/2 teas. Baking Soda


• 2 Tsp. of Lemon Juice (Fresh or from the bottle its up to you, i use fresh cause I keep lemons in the house)

What to do:

In the pint spray bottle combine all ingredients and add 2 cups of very hot water to dissolve the dry ingredients.

How to use:

To use simply spray on the surface you would like to clean and wipe away with either a wed or dry sponge/cloth.

Where to use:

This can be used anyplace you want to clean were you would like disfecting and a nice clean sent.

But...you can never say what anyone will or won't do so I am shocked but not surprised....he has(had) such a promising future and from what we as the world knew a decent character and personality but I guess this is not necessarily the case. And for Rhianna is I were you honey I would be the one with the charge, lol, on the real they would have booked me with felony assault attempting to commit bodily harm...lol but you did the right thing girl and you don't have to go for that no matter how much you love someone no one deserves that EVER!!!! So in closing we are just going to have keep them both lifted in prayer him for Chris Brown's deliverance from abuse and this case, and Rhianna's emotional and physical healing my, if you read this my prayers are with you both.......

WireImageAccess Hollywood LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Chris Brown has been charged with felony battery after an alleged violent incident on Saturday night, Access Hollywood has learned.

Earlier on Sunday, the LAPD was investigating Brown for assault following an alleged domestic violence felony battery against a woman reported to be the singer's girlfriend, Rihanna , at 12:30 AM on Sunday in Los Angeles. Both Brown and Rihanna pulled out of Sunday evening's Grammy Awards before the ceremony.

Brown turned himself in on Sunday evening, the LAPD confirmed to Access.

"At around 6:30 PM on February 8, 2009 R&B entertainer Chris Brown turned himself in to authorities at the Los Angeles Police Department's Wilshire Division," the LAPD said in a statement to Access. "Detectives investigating the alleged domestic violence felony battery booked him for criminal threats."

According to his booking sheet, Brown was being held on a $50,000 bail under a felony charge. He has since been released.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the victim of the alleged assault was Rihanna , though the LAPD would not confirm that report.

"At the time the case is presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, additional charges may be filed. It will be up the LA County DA to review the case and determine which charge or charges will be most appropriate," the LAPD noted.

Earlier, the LAPD confirmed to Access that the R&B singer and an undisclosed woman were in a vehicle on North June St. in the Hancock Park area of LA, where the victim claims an argument occurred. Brown allegedly stopped the car and the woman suffered "visible injuries" and identified the singer as her attacker.

"Mr. Brown is a suspect that we are looking for... we would definitely like to speak with him," a spokesperson for the LAPD told Access on Sunday evening.

When contacted by Access on Sunday night, a rep for Rihanna said that the singer was "well."

" Rihanna is well. Thank you for concern and support," the rep said.

A rep for Chris Brown did not return calls from Access.

"We have just been informed that Rihanna will not be attending tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards," a Grammy rep confirmed to Access late Sunday afternoon. "We're sorry she is unable to join us this evening."

The rep issued a similar statement regarding Brown later in the evening.

"We have just been informed that Chris Brown will not be attending tonight's 51st Annual Grammy Awards. We're sorry he is unable to join us this evening," the rep told Access.

On Saturday evening, the music couple walked the red carpet separately at the Grammy Salute to Industry Icons honoring Clive Davis at the Beverly Hilton, and they were later spotted smiling together inside the party.

Rihanna was set to perform and was nominated for three Grammys, while Brown was up for two awards at the ceremony.

When Your Heart Wants One Thing and Your Mind/Body want another..............

What do you do when you heart wants one option that isn't ready and your mind/body wants an option that isn't interested. Don't you think that is one jacked up scenario I do. But this scenario belongs to me and I can't help it I know I know I can't have my cake and eat it too. Hell! The mind/body option isn't even interested or if he is I haven't heard of it!!!! The heart option I could fall in love with him and he could fall in love with me BUT there's always that "but" he doesn't want a girlfriend but he doesn't want me to be intimate with no one but him!!!! What the hell!!! Please someone let me know if that is a contridiction or not!!!!!!!! Both options turn me on ridicoulusly ON ON need to jump in Niagra on!!! And it makes me sick!!!! Okay...not sick but I am concerned what the hell is wrong with me and when I try to cut both off they creep back into my consiousness and my space Lawd help me ONE of these options needs to become a CHOICE and soon I am getting aggrivated now.

It's Starting Already

A New Year

Well well we are now in 2009 "the Year of Revelations" I wonder what shall this year bring and hopefully it is a calmer, better, more realaxing year than 2008. So many things are new for me and to me this particular year I am out of an old realtionship, on my way to financial stability, and have learned to truely accept me as me wow how thangs have changed at the stroke of midnight!!! Hopefully this year I would like to start healtheier habits and I may drop an unhealthy one still deciding lol.

I want to find the love of a good man but that I can be patient on I am enjoying being single right now and i know how that works anyway it usually sneaks up on you. lol Anyway while we are on that subject let me put my requirement list out there honest, compassionate, affectionate, humorous, working, spirtitual, and fun loving!!! Hopefully I didn't set the hopes too high lol oh yeah and handsome I don't want to roll over in the morning and scare myself to death lmao!!!!!!

Other than the above I would like to start school this year and get this degree over with I am not saying I just want to get it done but its a jab at myself to make sure I finish. For the master's I am still debating hmmmmm...lemme think some more on that one lol.

Also I want to make sure I get to see friends and family more often they are important and a major part of my life so I want to be able to see them more often.
